Edible Flowers (Dianthus)
With a sweet aroma, Dianthus flowers are great to use on cakes, desserts and in summer drinks. Try floating the whole flower on summer punches and cocktails, or press into buttercream topped cupcakes. As well as a sweet garnish, the petals from the Dianthus flower can also be used to garnish savoury courses. The petals can be pulled off the flower and used to toss through salads. Just like a salad garnish, the petals from the edible flower can also be used to dress savoury canapés and starters.
